This device... It's amazing! It's completely unlike the ancient technology I've studied during my travels. And it logs everything I want it too. Like some sort of electronic diary. Except that others can reply to my thoughts!
Whoever left it for me certainly was generous. If they only wanted me to take a look at it and give it back later, they'd have left a note. Thefore, the "finders, keepers" rule applies. This device is now property of the great Klarth F. Lester!

I'd look into this apparatus further, but it seems there's trouble afoot. I've seen strange demons roaming around near the village. Perhaps I should do some summoning preparations in case they decide to invade our homes.
Ugh... I could really use some of Arche's offensive magic right about now. Sadly, I haven't seen that girl since we'd returned to our own time period.

'Summoning?' You don't mind if I ask what you mean out of curiousity, do you? If that's a sort of 'art', it's not one I've heard of before.

Summoning is... Well... summoning. Eheheh...

Basically, you need to make a pact with a spirit after proving your worth. You also need to be in possession of a special pact ring. Then, with aid of the pact, you can call the spirit by your side to help you with battles. It is indeed called 'the art of summoning', though there really isn't anything 'artistic' involved.
Summoning has been done since ancient times, but only by skilled summoners. Summon spirits may only make one pact at a time, and currently in my world I have a pact with all the summon spirits in existance. Therefore, I have no rivals!

Wow. That's... kinda cool, actually. And good work with all those pacts! Our arts aren't anywhere near as complex and unique, I guess you can say. But thanks for taking the time to explain it to me!
